Early Life and Education

Glen Murphy, widely recognized as "Pulse" from the dynamic dance duo Twist and Pulse, was born on October 22, 1990, at Guy's Hospital in London, England. Raised in South East London by his father, Glen grew up alongside his older and younger brothers. His formative years were spent attending Dalmain Primary School and Forest Hill School, where he began to cultivate his passion for dance. This passion led him to the BRIT School of Performing Arts and Technology, a prestigious institution known for nurturing artistic talent. At the BRIT School, Glen pursued a BTEC National Diploma in Dance, receiving comprehensive training in ballet, tap, contemporary, and jazz dance. It was here that he met Ashley Glazebrook, known as "Twist," forming a partnership that would revolutionize the dance scene. ​

Career and Achievements

Glen Murphy's career took a significant turn when he and Ashley Glazebrook formed the dance duo Twist and Pulse. Their unique blend of street dance and comedy, termed "Streetomedy," captivated audiences and judges alike during their performance on the fourth season of "Britain's Got Talent" in 2010, where they secured the runner-up position. Their success continued as they won "Britain's Got Talent: The Champions" in 2019, earning the title of Champion of Champions. 

Beyond television, Glen has showcased his versatility as a choreographer, director, writer, and producer. He holds a Guinness World Record for executing 148 synchronized dance moves in 30 seconds. Glen has collaborated with global brands such as Samsung, Cadbury, Warner Bros., and McDonald's, creating compelling choreography and content. His creative endeavors extend to music production and comic book creation, notably the "Extraman" series. ​
